Itinerary
Day 0: Your pickup point - Ha Giang city
Board a sleeper bus from pickup point to Ha Giang.
Rest comfortably at our homestay before gearing up for your Ha Giang Loop adventure!
Day 1: Ha Giang - Dong Van Ancient town (135km) [Meals: B L D]
8:00 AM – Your day begins with a warm welcome from local H’Mong guide before heading into the mountains.
We start the scenic drive with visits to:
- Quan Ba Sky Gate: Breathtaking panoramic views of the valley below.
- Twin Mountain: Iconic limestone peaks symbolizing Ha Giang’s natural charm.
- Visit Lung Tam Linen Village – discover traditional Hmong linen weaving, handmade from flax using age-old techniques.
After lunch, continue the journey with breathtaking scenery:
- Can Ty Slope: The old “Cu Vuong” horse road once used by the Hmong King.
- Tham Ma Slope: A scenic mountain pass offering stunning views of Ha Giang’s winding roads and valleys.
- Hmong King’s Palace: unique architecture and rich cultural history.
7:00 PM: Enjoy dinner and head to Dong Van Ancient Town for campfire and traditional dancing.

Day 2: Dong Van – Hiking White God Cliff – Campsite (50km) [Meals: B L D]
8:00 AM: Fuel up with breakfast at the homestay and make sure to pack light – today’s trekking adventure awaits:
- Explore the local market (Sunday only): observe the lively trading scene where ethnic minorities gather to exchange goods, produce, and local specialties.
- Ma Pi Leng peak hiking, covering 9 km of the Sky path through limestone cliffs, Hmong villages, and cornfields after lunch. Enjoy stunning views of the Nho Que River below from the God cliff.
Lunch at a local restaurant and continue the journey:
- Nho Que river boat trip – Glide along Tu San Alley and witness the majestic Ma Pi Leng cliffs rising above you.
6:30 PM: End the day at the campsite by the Nho Que River, relax with breathtaking views of the Tu San Canyon
7:00 PM: Dinner with hot pot/BBQ awaits
Day 3: Campsite - M road - Nam Dam village (110km) [Meals: B L D]
Start your day with early morning kayaking along Nho Que river
08:30 AM – Enjoy breakfast at the homestay and begin the ride to Nam Dam, stopping at key highlights along the way:
- Meo Vac Local Market (Sunday only) – A lively highland market full of culture.
- M Road – Iconic “M-shaped” mountain curves, famous for their wild, rugged beauty.
12:00 PM – Lunch en route, followed by visits to the next highlights:
- Lao Va Chai Viewpoint – A scenic stop offering sweeping views of the surrounding mountains and valleys.
- Nai Waterfall – A refreshing natural waterfall, ideal for a short break and photo stop.
5:00 PM – Arrive in Nam Dam. Free time to wander through the village, known for its traditional yellow clay houses (Trinh Tuong houses), and experience the daily life of the ethnic Tay people.
Our suggestion: (Both optional, additional cost applies)
- Try a traditional Red Dao herbal bath in the village
- Or in the evening, attend the Cap Sac ritual – a coming-of-age ceremony for young men (not held regularly, subject to local’s schedule)
Day 4: Nam Dam - Ha Giang city (70km) [Meals: B L]
08:00 – Breakfast at the homestay.
Return to Ha Giang with stops along the way:
- Lung Khuy Cave – Explore one of the biggest caves in the region, known for its impressive stalactites and well-preserved natural formations.
- Tung Vai Hmong Village – A short stop to observe a traditional Hmong village (subject to time and road conditions).
- Khau Lan Waterfalls or Number 6 Waterfall – Scenic waterfalls surrounded by nature, offering a refreshing stop (visit is subject to weather conditions due to slippery roads).
15:00 – Arrive back in Ha Giang city. Take some time to rest, shower, and prepare for departure. Don’t forget to grab some snacks for your journey back to Hanoi.
