Itinerary
Day 0: Your pickup point - Ha Giang city
Board a sleeper bus from pickup point to Ha Giang.
Rest comfortably at our homestay before gearing up for your Ha Giang Loop adventure!
Day 1: Ha Giang - Dong Van Ancient town (135km) [Meals: B L D]
8:00 AM: Your day begins with a warm welcome from local H’Mong guide and a short trip briefing and safety tips before heading into the mountains.
We start the scenic drive with visits to:
- Minh Tan Market (Saturday only): Experience local life at a vibrant highland market.
- Quan Ba Sky Gate: Breathtaking panoramic views of the valley below.
- Twin Mountain: Iconic limestone peaks symbolizing Ha Giang’s natural charm.
- Lung Khuy Village (Hmong House): Meet friendly locals and discover Hmong traditions.
After lunch, continue the journey with breathtaking scenery:
- Can Ty Slope: The old “Cu Vuong” horse road once used by the Hmong King.
- Tham Ma Slope: A scenic mountain pass offering stunning views of Ha Giang’s winding roads and valleys.
- Lao Xa Village: Discover traditional Hmong silver-making craft.
- Sa Phin Dong Van Geopark: Part of UNESCO’s Global Geopark Network.
- Hmong King’s Palace: unique architecture and rich cultural history.
7:00 PM: Enjoy dinner and head to Dong Van Ancient Town for campfire and traditional dancing.

- Dong Van Local Market (Sunday only) – Experience one of the most vibrant ethnic markets in the region.
- Ma So Village – Meet a Hmong khen artist (So’s uncle) who knows nearly 100 traditional Hmong melodies; visit a local house and discover authentic Hmong daily life.
- Lung Cu Flag Tower – The northernmost point of Vietnam, offering sweeping mountain views beneath the iconic national flag.
- Lo Lo Chai Village – A charming village at the foot of Lung Cu, home to the Lo Lo people with unique stilt houses and colorful cultural traditions.
12:00 PM – Lunch at a local Lo Lo family house

5:00 PM – Back to Dong Van to stay overnight
Day 3: Dong Van - Du Gia (95km) [Meals: B L D]
07:30 AM – Enjoy breakfast at the homestay and head to Du Gia, stopping at key highlights along the way:
- Ma Pi Leng Peak – Trek a 4 km section of the iconic Sky Path through limestone cliffs, H’Mong villages, and cornfields.
- Ma Pi Leng Pass – Stop at the viewpoint for a breathtaking look over the Nho Que River and Tu San Valley.
- M Road – Iconic “M-shaped” mountain curves, famous for their wild, rugged beauty.
12:30 PM – Lunch at a local restaurant and continue to:
- Lung Ho Viewpoint – Stop for wide-open mountain scenery and perfect photo spots.
- Du Gia Village – Join a hands-on cooking class and enjoy the beautiful views from a local homestay.
Day 4: Du Gia - Ha Giang city (80km) [Meals: B L]
08:00 – Breakfast at the homestay.
Return to Ha Giang with stops along the way:
- Du Gia Waterfalls – Ride past traditional houses, rice fields, and rolling hills before reaching a crystal-clear stream for a refreshing swim with cold beers and snacks.
- Thuong Village – Visit a Hmong family, meet local schoolchildren, and join a friendly shuttlecock-kicking game.
- Hidden Waterfalls – Relax and swim in a stunning, secluded waterfall.
15:00 – Arrive back in Ha Giang city. Take some time to rest, shower, and prepare for departure. Don’t forget to grab some snacks for your journey back to Hanoi.
