The Ha Giang Loop is a famous 450-kilometer route through northern Vietnam. It offers stunning landscapes and cultural insights. While walking the entire loop isn’t feasible due to its length and road conditions, a walking tour of the Dong Van Stone Plateau provides a more immersive experience.

Why Visit Dong Van Stone Plateau?
The Dong Van Stone Plateau, located in Meo Vac and Dong Van districts, is part of the UNESCO-recognized red belt region. It is known for its expansive stone plateaus and rich ethnic diversity.     Start your journey with a scenic drive from Ha Giang to Dong Van. Then, take a trek to Thien Huong, an H’mong village known for its traditional charm. Along the way, pass through Ma U village, famous for its terraced rice fields. Afterward, stay overnight in Thien Huong to immerse yourself in the local culture.
  • Day 2: Trek from Thien Huong to Lai Co
    On Day 2, continue your trek through villages like Thien Huong Ancient Village. Here, you can learn about the history and culture of the Tay, Giay, and Mong communities. Spend the night in Lai Co, where you can enjoy the peaceful atmosphere.
  • Day 3: Explore Nho Que River and Trek to Ta Lang

  • Day 4: Hike White God Cliff and Stay in a Luxury Homestay
    On Day 4, hike up to White God Cliff for spectacular views of the surrounding mountains. Afterward, unwind with a stay in a luxury homestay in H’mong Pa Vi village, offering both comfort and a chance to learn more about local life.
  • Day 5: Visit Dong Van Ancient Town and Return to Hanoi
