Epic 3-Days Ha Giang Loop

Day 1: Ha Giang to Dong Van (135km)

  1. Sky Gate (Quan Ba Heaven Gate): Kick off your adventure with a stop at this incredible viewpoint. The panoramic views of the surrounding landscape, including the iconic Twin Mountains, are simply breathtaking. Perfect for snapping some memorable photos.
  2. Twin Mountain (Fairy Bosom): These unique karst formations in Quan Ba district look like a pair of breasts and are quite a sight to behold. It’s a quirky natural wonder that’s worth a quick stop and a few photos.
  3. Can Ty Slope: This is a scenic stretch of road that offers beautiful views of the valleys and terraced rice fields. Be prepared for some sharp turns and steep inclines.
  4. Tham Ma Pass: Known for its winding roads and breathtaking views, this pass is a must-see. Take your time to enjoy the scenery and drive carefully.
  5. H’mong King Palace (Vuong Palace): This historic palace offers a glimpse into the life of the H’mong royalty. It’s an interesting cultural stop that provides insights into the local history and architecture.

Stay in Dong Van: Dong Van is a charming town with traditional houses and a vibrant market. It’s a good place to rest after a day of riding.

Day 2: Dong Van to Du Gia (90km)

  1. Ma Pi Leng Pass: One of the most famous passes in Vietnam, Ma Pi Leng offers stunning views of the mountains and valleys. It’s considered one of the most beautiful and challenging roads in the country.
  2. Nho Que River: After descending from Ma Pi Leng, you can take a boat ride on the Nho Que River. This is a peaceful and scenic experience that offers a different perspective of the landscape.

Stay in Du Gia: Du Gia is a small, picturesque village known for its beautiful surroundings and friendly locals. It’s a great place to experience authentic rural life in Vietnam.

Day 3: Du Gia to Ha Giang (125km)

  1. Thuong Road: This route offers more beautiful scenery and a less-traveled path back to Ha Giang. It’s a relaxing ride through the countryside.
  2. Thai An: This area is known for its stunning natural beauty and tranquil atmosphere. It’s a good spot to take a break and enjoy the last part of your journey.

General Tips:

  • Motorbike Maintenance: Ensure your motorbike is in good condition before starting the loop. Check brakes, tires, and fuel levels regularly.
  • Safety Gear: Wear appropriate safety gear, including a helmet, gloves, and protective clothing.
